Meet the woman behind the camera!
“As a visual storyteller and creative director, I believe women deserve to be seen for more than their appearances.
At nine years old, holding my parents’ camera, I discovered the power of images to shape how we understand the world. That spark grew into a devotion to photography, deepened through analogue film and developing my own photographs by hand, where I learned how patience, light, and intention shape an image. Later, through my studies in art, I came to see images not only as creative expressions, but as powerful tools for shaping identity, culture, and the stories we tell about ourselves.
Being exposed to a patriarchal world as a youth, made me increasingly aware of how often women’s images are seen, judged, and defined for them, and how rarely we are given space to explore who we are, what we carry, and how we choose to lead.
Over time, this led me to explore feminine leadership; as a way of understanding intuition, creativity, cycles, identity, and authentic expressions.
Today, I use film, photography, and creative practices to explore and tell stories of women’s leadership, identity, and full expressions.”

Her Moon Expressions is a woman‑led, purpose‑driven brand that supports women and their dreams in shaping their visual identity and establishing a grounded presence. From the colors that speak their truth to the imagery that carries their story, Her Moon Expressions blends artistry, intuition, and creative strategy to empower the female image and craft authentic, meaningful visuals.
Shamin, a Vancouver based Visual-Artist, holds a Bachelor of Fine-Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She has contributed to educational and creative spaces across BC, Canada since 2010. Shamin integrates photography and other creative processes to support authentic self‑expression and the creation of empowering narratives.
To create a world where women are reflected with depth, agency, and artistry — where their stories are honored, their leadership is visible, and their image becomes a powerful tool for transformation. We exist to bridge the gap in how female leaders are represented, ensuring their presence is seen, felt, and celebrated.
